I am a licensed clinical social worker who works with pregnant and birthing people – with a particular specialty in trauma, loss, and healing. I believe in a collaborative, culturally-attuned process -- and integrate mind-body approaches to explore and shift
patterns of distress, and move towards greater ease and well-being.

I draw upon a range of modalities to support clients including advanced clinical training includes being as a certified EMDR therapist, a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (SEP), and a perinatal mental health certified (PMH-C) clinician along with ongoing work in expressive arts and trauma healing. I received my M.A. in clinical social work from the University of Chicago, hold a PhD from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and completed a post-doctoral fellowship in public health at UNC-Chapel Hill.
I regularly participate in advanced clinical consultation and training so that I can share up-to-date information and nuanced perspectives with clients.

My passion for supporting people navigating pregnancy and birth-related challenges is shaped by my prior work at Community of Hope’s Family Health and Birth Center as their lead perinatal behavioral health clinician and 20-plus years’ experience helping to
design and strengthen sexual & reproductive health and rights programs globally. I maintain a small private practice. My practice strives to be an inclusive place for people of all races, ethnicities, sexual orientations, gender identities, and religious
beliefs.

I am licensed to practice in DC, Maryland, and Virginia and am a board-certified clinical supervisor in Maryland.
