Aimee L. Danielson, PhD, the founding director of the Women’s Mental Health Program at MedStar Georgetown and a nationally recognized expert whose life’s work has been devoted to perinatal mental health care.

A hands-on clinical practitioner, tireless advocate, and enthusiastic educator, Dr. Danielson treats mothers who experience mental illness; advocates for transformative national and local policies; and educates colleagues, medical students, and the public about the mental health issues so many mothers and families face.
