About Bluestone Counseling Group
As a clinical social worker, I bring over 13 years of experience supporting children, adolescents, adults and families. I have worked with a diverse community of individuals in foster care, community based mental health organizations, in-home therapeutic support, a variety of hospitals, outpatient clinics and schools. I have a passion for supporting my clients to show up as their most authentic selves and recognize the resilience and deep knowing they already have to reach their goals and find connection.
I am trained in perinatal mental health, eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) trauma-informed practices, mindfulness and cognitive behavioral therapy. I have a special interest in the area of maternal wellbeing and supporting women as they experience the all encompassing identity shift of becoming a mother.
I currently focus my clinical work on perinatal mental health and those who are on the path to becoming parents. This may start with fertility challenges, pregnancy, postpartum, and parents struggling with navigating the stressors of parenthood and marriage after kids.
I earned my Master’s Degree in Social Work at Columbia University in 2011 and my Bachelor’s in Applied Developmental Psychology from the University of Pittsburgh in 2009. I am currently a clinician at Georgetown Medstar University Hospital working in the Department of Psychiatry outpatient clinic as well as working within the school-based Wellbeing in School Environments (WISE) program.
