Family building isn't easy! Whether your challenge is getting pregnant, staying pregnant, ending a pregnancy, or transitioning to parenthood, there are lots of feelings to feel. Our lives are complex and family building challenges makes that complexity deeper and harder to manage. Sometimes we feel that we can't manage at all!

I love maternal mental health and perinatal mental health because people get better! In my decade+ of experience working in the family building world I've seen a lot of amazing healing. So, if you feel hopeless, remember that people heal. My approach is based in a mix of therapies and always trauma-informed.

I am a clinical social worker and therapist. I've spent my whole career working with children, families, and people building families. I started out as a child and family therapist before becoming enthralled with maternal mental health. After a lot of training, I started working with people facing the challenges of pregnancy and postpartum and haven't looked back! It is my passion. For the past several years I've been teaching graduate social work students and sharing my love for all things mental health with them! I'm also conducting research in the field of perinatal mental health!

I love to talk all about the how's and why's of therapy, though most everyone wants to just feel better and skip the background, which is just fine. Someone once told me that they don't want to geek out about therapy with their therapist but it's reassuring to know that the therapist could. So whether you want to talk excitedly about brains or just get to the talk therapy, let's connect! We will laugh and sometimes cry. We will talk about hard things and things that seem minor but maybe need talking about. Therapy with me is engaging, challenging, rewarding, healing, and even fun!

My practice is out of network for insurance. I provide a monthly superbill so that you can file an out of network claim. Sliding scale fee available upon request.  Contact for more details.
